Here is some community news to keep you entertained while you wait for the thermostat to move north of freezing!
Got the Laundry Blues?
We’ve heard from some residents who are frustrated with the 30 minute time limit on the dryer cycle. Here are some tips to help you take advantage of the quicker (less expensive) dryer cycle time:
- This isn’t an industrial grade laundromat! Instead, these residential grade appliances are meant for smaller loads that have quicker dry time
- Don’t overload the washer!
- Overloading the washer decreases washer and dryer efficiency and leads to dirtier clothes that are soaked with water at the end of each cycle
- Smaller loads in the washer means quicker (and less expensive) dry time
- Overloading the washer decreases washer and dryer efficiency and leads to dirtier clothes that are soaked with water at the end of each cycle
- Quicker dryer cycle time lets you dial in the amount of dry time you actually need (rather than over-paying for unneeded dry time)
- Quicker dryer cycle time frees the dryer for other residents (rather than doing jumbo loads that take hours to complete!)
Need a place to store your shoes?
We’ve noticed a few residents storing their shoes outside their apartment in the common area of the hallway. Not only does this look cluttered and get in the way of our regular cleaning service, but it’s a fire safety hazard that is not allowed!
Residents must find a place inside their apartment to store shoes — preferably on a waterproof mat or tray that will prevent staining or damage to flooring surfaces during the winter months.
Did you know that smoking is not allowed — both inside and out?
We aren’t here to lecture anyone about their personal habits, but resident smoking is not allowed anywhere at your community.
This includes both INSIDE and OUTSIDE the apartment building.
Smoking in these locations is NOT allowed and will result in rules violations if noticed:
- Inside apartments (NOT allowed)
- Inside hallways (NOT allowed)
- Inside stairways (NOT allowed)
- Inside garage or parking areas (NOT allowed)
- Outside building on sidewalks (NOT allowed)
- Outside building on grounds (NOT allowed)
Talking Trash (in your community)
Let’s all do our part in keeping your community neat and tidy — especially in the trash and recycling collection area.
- Trash bags need to go directly into the dumpster (not piled outside)
- Boxes need to be broken down and placed into the recycling dumpster
Any boxes or trash left behind by residents may result in tenant specific charges for the cleanup fees associated with any mess!
